  Unlimited number of subdomains

  The wildcard extension allows for the protection of an unlimited number of third-level domains (commonly referred to as 'subdomains') below the ordered second-level domain. For example, mail.mywebsite.com, shop.mywebsite.com, and intern.mywebsite.com can all be protected by the same certificate. For the site owner, wildcard certificates represent a cost-effective alternative to purchasing multiple individual certificates.

  By requiring additional documents such as a commercial register extract, SwissSign ensures that the protected domain truly belongs to the publisher.   The data exchanged between a client (e.g., web browser) and a server is encrypted before sending and decrypted after receiving. The strength of encryption is measured based on the bit strength. The SwissSign SSL certificate here provides the best possible encryption of data transmissions in the form of 256bit.
